The latest trend is to ‘paint’ your fabric using Inktense or watercolour pencils and then embroider around the painting to bring it to life. ‘Painting’ is a loose term, as it is actually colouring in due to having a template to colour. So, basically, if you enjoy colouring in, then you will love this craft. This technique is so very simple to master, and you do not have to be an artist to create masterpieces. In this workshop, you will learn the tips & methods used to colour your designs which can then be finished off with simple Redwork stitches at your leisure.
You will be supplied with the fabric, with the autumn themed design already drawn on – there is a choice of four different small designs for you to choose ONE to colour in during the workshop. The kit will include instructions on how to do back stitch if you wish to stitch your design afterwards at home.
Length of class
Length of class is for 1 hour, which gives a quick introduction to Inktense colouring – a way to dip your toes into this enjoyable and therapeutic craft.
